Charming stay with delightful breakfast
Waking up to the aroma of freshly baked scones was a treat that made our mornings magical. The American colonial décor added a cozy touch, creating a lovely atmosphere during our stay.
Unfortunately, the pillows were uncomfortably hard, which detracted from the overall comfort of our stay. Additionally, the owner's visible stress while managing everything alone was a bit concerning.

The Grand Colonial impressed with its charming American colonial style. The accommodations were comfortable, making me feel right at home. Mike, the owner, provided excellent service from check-in to breakfast, which was a highlight. The made-to-order breakfast was delicious, especially the fresh bread rolls. I loved the enjoyable conversations with other guests during meals, making our mornings special. However, the pillows were too hard for my liking, and my family in another room felt the same. The owner's stress was palpable, and he often came out from an overheated kitchen, which took away from the otherwise cozy atmosphere. A split AC in the kitchen area would help greatly. Overall, a lovely stay, but some improvements could enhance the experience.

We really enjoyed our time at the baseball games nearby, where the kids got to cheer on youth teams from across the country. The cozy atmosphere at our room made evenings spent with our grandchildren perfect, too, especially while catching a movie on the big screen.
My wife says that having more family-friendly activities on-site would be great.

I really liked the cozy vibe of the Double Room. It wasn’t huge, but it had that classic American colonial style that felt homey. The bed was comfortable enough, just the pillows were a bit too hard for my taste. Also, the room had a nice neat interior, which added a lot to the overall feel. Plus, waking up to that delicious breakfast smell made the mornings special. Just wish those pillows were softer!
